The Japan-America Society of Hawaii is a nonprofit organization that promotes education fostering greater understanding about Japan, the United States, and the United States-Japan relationship. An example of its efforts has been the Ehime Maru Fund, helping with the Junior Baseball Goodwill Tournament between Ehime and Hawaii baseball players, providing school programs for Hawaii students from elementary through high school. Please see the Programs page for the list of activities. All of these programs require funding and volunteer support.
