Year-End Greetings from our JASH President
Aloha JASH Ohana, As 2021 comes to a close, I have been reflecting on the things I am grateful for at the Japan-America Society of Hawaii and I think of you. It is with deep gratitude and humility that I send this message to you today. Little did we know that we would still be combating the COVID-19 pandemic today.

Out of consideration for everyone’s safety, we decided it best to cancel our annual New Year’s Reception. We will miss celebrating the

In years past, the award has been a component of our Annual Dinner, or as in the case of last year, our televised Annual Gala. In the spirit of building bridges and friendship, it was our pleasure to present Dr. James Barahal, President/CEO of the Honolulu M

JASH Special: Message from the Mayor of Nagaoka City Commemorating Pearl Harbor
Dear Members and Friends of JASH, This week, we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. We remember all those who served; all those who were lost; and all those whose lives were forever changed. We honor the legacy of the Japanese Americans who served our country in the face of prejudice. And we come together as a community to build, repair, and strengthen our relationships at home and abroad in pursuit of world peace. Today, we share with our JASH ʻOh
