JASH Weekly Update 6/10: Introducing our Natsumatsuri Co-Chairs

Dear Members and Friends of JASH, Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual JASH NexGen Natsumatsuri on Thursday, July 29 from 6-7pm (HST)! Planned and organized by the JASH NexGen Advisory Board, this year’s summer festival will be a hybrid event with live in-person and virtual components. This year’s theme is Tanabata ‘Star Festival’! The evening will be filled with great food, sake tasting, awesome entertainment, and more as we celebrate Tanabata together. Stay tuned for more details on our restaurant partners, program line-up, and registration! This year, we are very fortunate to have two talented leaders co-chairing the event with the support of their NexGen team: Ms. Michelle Hirose and Ms. Monchalee Ota! The JASH NexGen Natsumatsuri would not be possible without the collaborative efforts of the JASH NexGen Advisory Board. The board is made up of JASH’s young leaders who continue the mission of promoting understanding and friendship between the people of Japan and the U.S. through the special and unique perspective of Hawaii. If you are interested in being involved with NexGen, please contact Lila at Thank you to Michelle, Monchalee, and the rest of the NexGen Advisory Board for your continued work in strengthening U.S.-Japan relations!
