7th JASH Language Exchange (JASH LangX)
On May 10, 2025, the Japan-America Society of Hawaii (JASH) welcomed 15 participants to its 7th JASH Language Exchange (JASH LangX), held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the JASH office. This warm and welcoming session brought together JASH members and non-members alike to practice English and Japanese in a fun, relaxed, and supportive setting.
Participants engaged in bilingual conversations, making new connections while gaining a deeper understanding of Japanese, American, and Hawaii cultures. JASH LangX continues to be a unique space for learning languages, sharing perspectives, and building friendships across borders.
✨ Event Highlights
A special highlight of this session was a hands-on origami activity led by Origami For Good West Oahu, a student-run nonprofit dedicated to spreading kindness through art. Five high school students volunteered their time to teach origami, adding a creative and interactive touch that participants truly enjoyed.
🌸 A Welcoming Space for All
LangX attendees came from diverse backgrounds and language proficiency levels, all united by their enthusiasm for language and cultural exchange. Whether beginner or fluent speaker, everyone found an opportunity to connect and grow.
