Taste of JASH featuring Hokkaido
On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, JASH hosted its signature Taste of JASH food series, sponsored by Kintetsu Hawaii International, at Tonkatsu Tamafuji in Honolulu. Guests were treated to an exquisite tasting experience featuring Hokkaido’s renowned tonkatsu. Due to overwhelming demand, the exclusive event featured two seatings to accommodate attendees.
Guests enjoyed a variety of dishes, including Tonkatsu, Pork Tenderloin Tonkatsu, and combination plates with Shrimp or Oysters. It was a delightful evening filled with cultural exchange, delicious food, and opportunities to connect and make new friends.

The Taste of JASH food series was developed by our JASH NexGen back in 2019. The initial series featured our Sister States Hiroshima, Okinawa, Fukuoka, Ehime and Hokkaido and highlighted regional cuisine and famous sightseeing locations.
